Skateboard Park Committee Meeting Minutes

Members Present: Marta Ferreira, Jessica Massery, Susan Serewicz, Denise Morano
Members Absent: John Blunt, Nate moore, Mark Flionis
The Skateboard Park Committee meeting was called to order at 5:30 pm.
The Committee is still trying to find a location for the Skateboard Park. It appears that the best spot might be Eagle Lake though some of the kids don't prefer this location. The estimated size of the park would be 4,000 square feet at a cost of $40-55 per square foot. The committee does not feel that they could fund raise that amount of money, so they are moving towards putting the request on the town warrant, which was suggested by Dave White at the April 13, 2010 meeting.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) procedure was discussed and the Committee proposed that the park features should include:
1/4 pipes
hips
bowled area
ledge matrix
rail
banked sections
the pump twinkie
stairs
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
The next Skateboard Park Committee meeting will be held on June 8, 2010 @ 5:30 p.m. at the Starbard Building.
